Theater Classes
Abbott & Lois offers classes for children of all ages! What sets our classes apart is an appreciation for theater as a whole. Some students want to dazzle on stage, and some want to make magic happen behind the scenes. Organizers, we encourage you to browse the classes that Abbott & Lois can bring to you!

Class Descriptions
Theater Playtime
Ages 3.5 – 5 years
Theater playtime is designed for young children to delight in artistic confidence and establish a preliminary bond with the fundamentals of theater. In this class, we will have fun embodying different characters, using arts and crafts tools to construct costumes and sets, experimenting with lights and colors, and listening to our favorite sound effects and music. At the end of the session, there will be a culminating project to show off every skill!
Theater Class
Ages 6 – 11 years
Theater class combines classroom-style learning with hands-on experience for a unique study in the value of teamwork, confident decision-making, and creative expression. From Classical Acting to light design, sound design, and costume construction, students learn it all! Come show time, each child shines in their own artistic way, either on stage, in the booth, or managing behind the scenes in a full-scale mini-production.
Theater Camp
Ages 6 – 11 years
Fill a school break with Theater Camp! Camps offer all of the learning aspects of our classes, but with less academic structure and more crunch-time excitement! The first day of camp begins with brainstorming an original script, and the last day ends with every camper on stage in a full-scale mini production, while Abbott & Lois staff run their technical designs from the booth. It’s creative skills development, confidence-building activities, and no school day fun all rolled into one!
Teen Audition Prep
Ages 12 – 17 years
High school theater and applying for college are when the heat of auditions gets kicked up a notch. Teens can hunker down with us to gain the skills and confidence to nail every audition! Students will learn Classical Acting fundamentals for flexibility, receive a personal assessment of strengths and growth areas, and practice cold reading techniques. The session concludes with a mock audition conducted by an experienced panel, whose feedback will propel students into putting their best foot forward!
